Volunteer with ASNW
Adaptive Sports Northwest wouldn’t survive without it’s dedicated crew of volunteers. You can find volunteers and opportunities at our numerous tournaments and events, and at any one of our programs practices. Our volunteers spread the age gamut from high-schoolers on up.
We are looking for volunteers to help with our Fall, Winter, Spring & Summer programs!
Questions about volunteering with ASNW should be sent to info@adaptivesportsnw.org.
Current Volunteer Openings
Handcycling is a great way to get out and explore your community and get in a workout. Adaptive biking is a rapidly growing sport accessible to anyone. ASNW has adaptive bikes (mainly handcycles) available to rent for athletes to try throughout the year.
We are looking for volunteers to help run our Adaptive Bike Series at Portland International Raceway. Link for signing up will be available in Spring 2025.
Adaptive Sports Northwest welcomes swimming athletes of all Paralympic classifications, teaching those just learning to train for competitive swimming alongside future Paralympians. ASNW’s Piranhas swim team is for athletes capable of independently completing the length of the pool (25 yds).
Because Track & Field covers a wide variety of disciplines, we could always use an extra trainer, coach, or other support member at the Track.
If you’re interested in helping with Track & Field, please contact us today.
We have a variety of specialty equipment that needs to be maintained, repaired, cleaned, transported and the like. If you are willing, able and interested in helping us maintain our adaptive sport and recreation equipment, please contact us today.
There are a number of administrative tasks that need to happen behind the scenes. From checking emails to creating flyers, from updating calendars to taking quality action photos, or anything in between. We can use the support if you’re interested in the work. Please contact us today to learn more.
