The annual ASNW Piranhas swim fundraiser is taking place March 16th at Parkrose High School pool. The Piranhas hope to raise critical funds that benefit all of the Piranhas Paraswim Club by helping to provide funds for the facilities, purchase of dry land equipment for practice, and funds to help offset travel costs.
This year our goal is to swim 18 miles or 31,680 yards or 633, 50's or 1,267 lengths collectively as a group in one hour. Here is how the fundraiser works: Registered swimmers will swim for one hour as a show of commitment to the team’s fundraising efforts. Swimmers collect donations from sponsors which can be per-lap pledges or a flat donation.
Awards and social time after the one hour of swimming.
Swimmers: Register for the Swim-Lap-Challenge (max 36 swimmers) and be sure to download your Pledge Sheet for collecting donations. There is a suggested donation of $40 to participate in this event as this is a fundraiser.
Supporters: If you don't know a registered swimmer to make a direct pledge to, please use this form to make a donation and mention "Swim-Lap-Challenge" in the comments. You can also donate offline. Make checks payable to ASNW and mail to 10542 SE Cherry Blossom Dr. Portland, OR 97216. If supporting a specific athlete, please write swim-lap-challenge and the athlete's name on your check.
Volunteers: If you'd like to volunteer for this event, such as counting laps or being part of the Cheer Squad, please register as a volunteer.
Both Swimmers and Volunteers must complete our General Waiver and Liability Release form, if not already completed this calendar year, before participating.

My time on the Portland Piranhas Paraswim Team allowed me to improve my strokes, times, and turns so that I felt so much more confident in going out for the girl’s swim team at my high school. Being able to participate in an extracurricular sport has really boosted my confidence level and helped me to make new friends that I know I would never have been able to make otherwise. In addition, I have been able to compete at the District and State Level, and am proud to share that I was the ONLY swimmer from my whole school district to be recognized on the podium at state level competition. I love to swim, and hope to swim long-term in order to stay fit and healthy.
